Not So Testing Times

A good days testing was had at Gurston Down on 6th April, despite the weather doing it’s best to throw a spanner in the works. Overnight and early morning snow cleared by 10.30 to allow proceedings to begin.

Wet running in the morning gave us our first taste of the Pulsar in slippery conditions, with new wets fitted by Steve Harkness, we managed 3 runs before lunch. Dry conditions after the break gave us the chance to scrub in and get a feel for the new Avon slicks and to check out the car more thoroughly ensuring all the winter modifications worked correctly.

With less than two weeks to go to the first event at Gurston Down, it will be interesting with the Sports Libre class boasting 10 or more entries for both the 19th and 20th April. If you have never been to a hill-climb, Gurston is a great place to start with superb viewing, good facilities, great location, friendly people and of course, great action!

See you there!

New Date For ‘08 Thanks To Folk Festival?!

What does Priddy Folk Festival have to do with Ruptured Duck Motorsport? It isn’t that Lynsey plays a mean banjo, nor Mark is a dab hand with a squeeze box. It is that The Queen Victoria Inn is so busy that weekend that the Pulsar duo would not have been able to get away from work to compete, but the dates have been revised. Entry permitting, Lynsey and Mark will make their début at the Wiltshire hill at the famous home of Lord Bath.

The 2008 Priddy Folk Festival will be held on Friday 11th to Sunday 13th July 2008. This means that Lynsey and Mark are now available to compete at Longleat Hillclimb on 5th July & 6th July 2008.
